This paper briefly describes the generation and characteristics of MATLAB software, carries on the analysis and research of the circuit steady state and circuit transient of the MATLAB, and carries out the computer simulation analysis on the automatic control system. Through analysis it concludes that the MATLAB software package can be successfully used in control system, and it has a broad application future and spreading value in the teaching and scientific research, production and other fields.
