A new kind of power factor correction circuit in application of LED drivers was proposed.The principle and methods of power factor correction were discussed.A power factor correction prototype was given based on the new product FAN7930 of fairchild semiconductor corporation which was used for the 100W LED driving circuit.Experiments showed that this prototype power factor was greater than 0.99 and total harmonic distortion was less than 6%.
