For REALICE ?

Here are the steps to register your new REALICE DLL file - 

Upgrade to MPLAB 8.40 if you have not already.  The DLL works with version 8.40 (based on preliminary testing), but has not been tested with older versions of MPLAB. 

Then work through the following instructions to install and register the DLL. 

1.  Rename the old dll. (e.g. MPRealICE.dll -> MPRealICE.bak) just in case you need to restore this file due to unforeseen issues.  

    The DLL will be located in this folder:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Microchip\MPLAB IDE\REAL ICE

2.  Copy the new MPRealICE.dll  into the REAL ICE folder.

3.  Register the new dll following these instructions:

         a.  Once your Window's operating system has loaded completely, click: 

              Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Right Click on "Command Prompt:" and select "run as administrator' 

         b.  At the command prompt change into the  C:\Program Files (x86)\Microchip\MPLAB IDE\REAL ICE directory 

         c.  Type "Regsvr32 MPRealICE.dll".   After this you should get a pop up dialog message saying the DLL was registered. 

For ICD3 ?
