To better understand the transient process,the paper introduces the basic principle for the simulation on the transient process of first-order resistor-capacitance(RC)circuit,simulates this process with Multisim software and based on fullcharge or full-discharge of the capacitance,discusses how to measure the time constant of a RC circuit.The simulation results show directly the charging and discharging processes and their tendencies,thereby contributing to measurement methods for time constant under various conditions.
