由于超级电容的一些特点，可以应用它的一种改进的半桥电路结构来防止蓄电池的大电流放电。这种结构可以使其电源在工作一定时间内不出现大电流放电，同时又不影响负载工作，它是在负载处于短暂的重载时，可以将之前存储在超级电容的能量输出来减小直流电源的输出功率。但是这种电路要正常工作需要对直流电源上的电流进行检测，再来控制超级电容输出的功率，考虑到实际应用中电流的检测、判断到最后产生相应操作的过程中需要一定的时间，即存在滞后性。因此，可以对该超级电容的半桥结构进行预测控制以补偿控制电路反应的滞后性。
