1、The definition of computer network , client, server, broadcasting, multicasting,  
unicasting, layers, protocol, peers, interface, network architecture.  
答：computer network：The old model of a single computer serving all  
of the organization’s computational needs has been replaced by one in  
which a large number of separate but interconnected computers do the job。  
client：one that accepts the services from the server。  
server：one that provides all kinds of services。  
broadcasting：A packet is sent to all destinations by using a special  
code in the address field, which is received and processed by every  
machine on the network。  
multicasting：A packet is only allowed it sent to a subset of the  
network。  
unicasting：Point-to-point transmission with one sender and one  
receiver。  
layers：重叠起来的东西。基本思想是一段（或块）专门的软件  
（或者硬件）向用户提供一种服务，但是将内部状态和算法的细节隐  
藏起来。
