This user note describes why a very high Q value affects the simulation time when using a standard Time Domain scheme. The extreme powerful AR-filter technique is introduced and some information for the right handling given. Alternatively the application of a Frequency Domain Solver, the MOR solver, the Eigenmode Solver(Modal Analysis) as well as the possibility of a MWS/DS co-simulation is shown.

1.2Time Signals and Truncation error The more resonant the structure the longer it takes until the Time Domain solver reaches a specified accuracy. The early abortion of the calculation affects the shape of the S-parameters (ripples due to the truncation error), but does not shift the resonance frequency itself.

Therefore as long as one is only interested in the resonance frequency
