光时域反射仪(OTDR)是一种专门检测光纤长度及其损耗特性的仪器,在光纤通信及光纤应用中必不可少。本文基于OTDR的工作原理,分析了激光脉冲频率和脉宽对系统性能的影响。根据激光二极管的发光机理及其主要特点,设计了一适合OTDR系统工作的激光驱动电路,实现激光脉冲频率、脉宽的可调。
Optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) is a special instrument for measuring the fiber length and loss characteristic. It is essential for optic fiber communication and application. Based on the principle of OTDR, the influence of the pulse frequency and the pulse width on the system performance is analyzed. According to the Light-emitting mechanism and the main characteristics of laser diode, a laser pulse circuit is designed, which is suitable for the work of OTDR system, and the laser pulse frequency and pulse width is adjustable.
