An overcurrent protection circuit using a thyristor as the main control component was designed.The working principle was introduced,and the current limiting value as well as the protection delay time were tested and analyzed.The circuit is simple and effective,meantime with high sensitivity,reliability and stability.It can be applied in various electrical experimental devices for over current and short circuit protection.
