EDA工具是电子设计自动化（Electronic Design Automation）的缩写,是由计算机辅助工程（CAE）、计算机辅助设计（CAD）、计算机辅助制造（CAM）和计算机辅助测试（CAT）的概念发展而来的。利用EDA工具,工程师将集成电路芯片的电路设计、性能分析、集成电路芯片版图设计的整个过程交由计算机自动处理完成。

The EDA tool is the abbreviation of Electronic Design Automation,which is developed from the concept of Computer Aided Engineering（CAE）,computer aided design（CAD）,computer aided manufacturing（CAM）and computer aided test（CAT）. Using the EDA tool,the whole process of the circuit design,performance analysis and the design of integrated circuit chip layout is completed by the computer automatically.
