A control method based on double Boost circuit was proposed through the research of independent photovoltaic power generation system providing power for electric vehicle battery. The hardware and software design of the independent photovoltaic power generation system were introduced. The control of maximum power point tracking was also introduced. The simulation model of the photovoltaic array and main circuit were built by using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results prove the feasibility and practicability of the whole system. The method can reduce the effect of current ripple of the circuit, and can effectively track the maximum power point, realizing the efficient utilization of solar energy.
