With the development of digital electronic technology,the traditional design methods of digital circuit can't meet the needs of the digital integrated has been a developing trend to accomplish the design of hardware circuit by VHDL.A brief introduction of the basic structure,features and the design process of VHDL is full adder is used as an example to illuminate the designing method of what is applied to the design of digital circuit,and the simulate result is the result suggested,VHDL,which is powerful to depict the hardware of digital circuit and effective in design,is a useful tool to combine theory with practice in teaching digital circuit and cultivate the students' performing ability.
