The defects in the short-circuit protection in some occasions are pointed out through analysing the typical circuit of switch power supply based on UCC3800. a new short-circuit protection mode is revised. Furthermore,the working principle of this protection mode is analysed.finally,summarizing advantages in switching power supply applications.
