This paper reviews the evolution and the latest progress in the study of realizing BB84 quantum key distribution（QKD） through phase coding.It chosen an experiment program in QKD system based on phase coding and polarization measurement.The paper puts forward a design of phase modulator drive circuit by the microcontroller and FPGA.The expected experimental objectives are achieved.
