一种应用于LDO的可编程电流限电路设计

提出了一种应用于线性稳压器(LDO)的可编程电流限电路,可实现调整管电流的精准采样。根据输入—输出压差和负载电流的不同工作情况,通过调节片外的限流电阻来改变电流限值的大小。基于TSMC 0.25μm BCD工艺进行设计,采用H-spice进行仿真验证。仿真结果表明,LDO在2 V~5.5 V的输入电压、1.2 V~5 V的输出电压范围内,实现了最大3 A带载能力的输出,该可编程电流限电路可将电流限值在0.2 A~4.5 A内编程。

A programmable current limit circuit applied to LDO was presented,the current can achieve the accurate sense of the power MOSFET.The current can be operated under different input-output voltage and different load current by adjusting the current limiting resistor outside of the chip to change the current limit.The circuit was designed based on 0.25μm BCD process and simulated with H-spice.Simulation results showed that LDO achieves maximum 3 A load current in the range of 2~5.5 V supply voltage and 1.2~5 V output voltage.The programmable current limiting was adjustable from 0.2 A to 4.5 A.
