Abstract：A overall plan is built through analyzing the characteristics of machine tool vibration sighal
and the LabVlEW ．The overalI plan is about the vibration signal acquisition and analysis systern
for machine tools based on LabVlEW ．According to the characteristics of the test signal，the
system hardware configuration and software function structure are given．The signal acquisition，
analysis and data storage module are designed in detail．The system can realize the real-time acquisition，
time and frequency domain analysis of the machine vibration signa1．The data is stored
in the fOrmat of data log file．Through the acquisition and analysis of the headstock vibration signal，
the accuracy(reliability)of the system is tested．
