Oscilloscope has the problem of limitcd storage and data processing ability, so it becomes inevitable that oscilloscope is combined with computer. The main methods of commnication between oscilloscope and computer are introduced firstly. Using the USB serial port communications between oscilloscope and computer, a circuit fault diagmosis system is designed based on LabVIEW. The detailed program has been shown. The system is easy to use and operate. Experiments show that the diagnosis system can help the users to understand the circuit principle, diagnose the faults rapidly, so as to improve the measurement efficiency. It has good reference value in the engineering testing and teaching.
