A circuit testing system is designed based on virtual instruments of digital function generator and digital oscilloscope without using additional data acquisition card. The working principle, testing programs and display interface of the system are introduced. The sy:stem software is developed by LabVIEW. The USB com- munication between the software and the digital function generator and oscilloscope is realized by NI-VISA. The designed system can control, collect, process, display and store the circuit signals, which is applied in measur- ing the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the visible light communication link.
