MIPI -Mobile Industry Processor Interface

RFFE -RF Front End Control Interface

RFFE key pillars for the design are to:

Minimize wiring effort in front ends of mobile terminals

Minimize pin count

Ease and optimize control flow

Ensure minimal EMI contributions due to RFFE bus

Add flexibility and scalability to allow usage of multiple receivers

and transmitters simultaneously

RFFE has 16bit address register space, but mostly we only use 5bit address. Different address length register has different writelread command sequence.

Trigger load multiple registers at the same time

Trigger Mask disable the trigger

SWKS switches default trigger enabled

1) Write PROUDUCT ID to register Ox001D

2) Write MANUFACTURER ID[7:0] to register 0x001B

3) Write MANUFACTURER_ID[9:8] and new USID to register Ox001F

4) You can read USID to check if updated

Note: reset VIO will reset USID to default

QCT differences from the MIPI RFFE Specification:

- The Trigger Implementation.

The MIPI RFFE Specification defines 3 separate independent Triggers.

QCT combines all 3 Trigger into 1 Trigger.
