This paper deals with the protective measures in the course of application of Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor（IGBT） by using buffer circuit to protect the transistor at the stage of over-voltage and over-current and its changing provides an introduction to the right methods to choose driving circuit the protecting process of EXB841 driving also provides some suggestions on how to calculate and choose the parameters of the related components of the protective circuit to guarantee the safety operation of the IGBT.
