Low voltage DC system＇s short-circuit protection circuit for battery packs was introduced in the paper. This circuit determined the situation of short-circuit by detecting the anomalous discharge current, and was able to release the short-circuit protection when it was commanded by a control signal. With strong stability and applicability, it was simple and practical. In addition, appropriate circuit parameters for different capacitive load was verified by experiments and the short- circuit protection circuit was applied to the actual products.
