The wind has a great effect on aircraft landing and the navigational routes of boats. Ultrasonic wind measuring tech- nology is based on the analysis of the vector. This article describes the fundamental principle and achieving methods of ultrasonic wind speed measurement in detail. Absorbing domestic and foreign advanced ultrasonic measuring technology, we designed an ap- proach to measure wind speed and direction by ultrasonic based on traditional method of time difference.
