Hydrophone Types 8103, 8104, 8105 and 8106
Brüel & Kjær hydrophones are transducers for measuring
waterborne sound. The four hydrophones are:
• Miniature Hydrophone Type 8103
• Calibration Standard Hydrophone Type 8104
• Spherical Hydrophone Type 8105
• Low-noise Hydrophone Type 8106
Each hydrophone:
• Is individually calibrated
• Has a flat frequency response

• Is omnidirectional over a wide frequency range
• Is absolutely waterproof

• Is manufactured using lead-free nitrile butadiene rubber
• Has shielded-element construction

Miniature Hydrophone Type 8103
A small-size transducer with a high sensitivity relative to its size and good all-
round characteristics; applicable to laboratory, industrial and educational use. Its
high-frequency response is valuable when measuring pressure-distribution
patterns in ultrasonic-cleaning baths, for example.
